Last week, General Motors announced their new preowned vehicle platform. CarBravo. CarBravo was made to take a run at companies like Carvanna, CarMax and Vroom. Over the past few years, companies like this have been popping up and making some noise in the automotive world. This is General Motors answer to those companies. On Tuesday 10/26/2021 Chevrolet finally revealed the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The Corvette Z06 has been a long awaited vehicle. People have been waiting for Chevrolet to fully reveal the Z06 version of the C8 Corvette from the day Chevrolet introduced the all new C8 Corvette. Chevrolet played a very well made video that went into detail about how the Z06 came about and how it has come all the way to where it is today. From the day Z06 was introduced, it has always been the most track ready Corvette you could buy straight from the factory and that has not changed with this new version of the Z06 Corvette. Chevrolet’s goal with with 2023 Corvette Z06 was to ” Put the World on Notice.” They want to let the rest of the world know what American cars can do. For the longest time, most people outside of the United States just thought that American cars were only good to go in a straight line. Which, to be fair, was not all that wrong. Chevrolet is going directly after all European supercar makers with the 2023 Corvette Z06. When Chevrolet came out with the C8 Stingray with the mid- engine, everyone was just thinking about all of the possibilities that could come with future models of the Corvette. The C8 Corvette Stingray has been a huge success so far and continues to be the most sought after car on the market currently. The fact that most dealers in the United States are selling these Corvettes for over MSRP. when a vehicle is selling at over MSRP, you know it is a hot vehicle. 

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will completely change the game in terms of American “supercars.” Up to this point, there really aren’t many American supercars. The Ford GT, the Corvette ZR1, and maybe the Ford Mustang GT500. It really depends on who you are talking to thought. But without a doubt, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a supercar. The numbers that Chevrolet have stated, the car is clearly a supercar. The main difference between the C8 Stingray and the Z06 is the engine and the power that it creates. The Corvette Stingray has a 6.2L naturally aspirated V8 pumping out 495 horsepower. While the Z06 has a completely different engine in it. It has a 5.5L flat- plane crank engine that puts out 670 horsepower. The engine in the Z06 is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in a production car ever. Chevrolet really wanted to go after Ferrari specifically. There are a lot of similarities between the Ferrari 458 and the Corvette Z06. The flat- plank crankshaft is what give the higher pitch sound that most European supercars have. Corvettes are known for having a deep throaty tone but the Z06 screams like a Ferrari and it sounds incredible. The new engine also revs to an astonishing 8600 rpm. That is exactly 2000 rom higher than the C8 Stingray. 

The 2023 Corvette Z06 also has some pretty impressive stats too. The Corvette Z06 is said to have a 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds. But there is an optional package called the Z07 package that you can have added and it can do 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. When you eclipse the sub 3 second mark in terms of 0-60, that’s when you know you are in supercar territory. The numbers that Chevrolet is presenting are very impressive. The one big upside that the Corvette is going to have over all of the European supercars is the price. Most Europeans supercars are going to be double if not triple the price of the Corvette Z06. The C8 Stingray is hard enough to get a hold of, can you image how hard it is going to be to get your hands on a Z06. 

The 2023 Corvette Z06 will be available in six different trim levels.

• 1LZ Convertible
• 2LZ Coupe
• 2LZ Convertible
• 3LZ Coupe
• 3LZ Convertible

As you can expect, with each trim level, more features and options are included in the package. We currently do not know anything about pricing of the Corvette Z06 but you can expect the regular price increase from the Stingray to the Z06. Do not be surprised if we see some $150,000 builds. The most expensive Stingray was right around $105,000-$110,000. So when you add in the new engine and all of the extra power and features that come with the Z06 you can expect some expensive Corvettes. But if you look at it compared to European supercars, it looks like a great deal. You will not be able to find another car that gives this level of performance for that price point. Last week, Chevrolet finally confirmed the Silverado ZR2 model will actually be happening. Chevy owners have been begging for a version of the Silverado like this. In the teaser video that Chevrolet released, the Silverado ZR2 had a very aggressive sound to it. It would be great if this version of the Silverado came with a performance engine. If the Silverado ZR2 is able to keep up with the Ford Raptor and Ram TRX, that would be amazing. Ever since the Ram TRX came out, the are selling like hotcakes. They are so popular that they are selling for 20- 30K over sticker. Chevrolet needs to make this a similar model in order to stay relevant in this market. They made leaps and bounds when they introduced the Silverado TrailBoss. The TrailBoss is one of the most popular trim level of the Silverado now. We are hoping that the ZR2 will be a better version of the TrailBoss. Chevrolet is set to be unveiling the Silverado ZR2 sometime towards the end of 2021.

The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado is set to get a little bit of a facelift this year. Some people were not all that satisfied with the Silverado redesign of 2019. Rumor is that the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado will look a little more the Tahoe and Suburban. Two models that have been recently redesigned and has been welcomed by the customers. Tahoe’s and Suburban’s have been flying off the lot so Chevrolet is hoping this refresh will make people like the Silverado more. The inside of the Chevrolet Silverado is also getting some much needed upgrades. The inside of the Silverado has been very disappointing pretty much all around. Everything used in the now Silverado is very cheap plastic and it just isn’t all that good looking. The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado is going to be having soft touch materials all over the cabin with some very needed technology updates as well. A new infotainment screen is one of the bigger updates that will be coming to the new Silverado. It is also said to be having a digital dash in some trim levels. Most likely the higher trim levels will come with that.

Just announced!

The 2022 Chevrolet Colorado will be available with the Trailboss package. It will have some components of the Colorado ZR2 but will not be quite as off- road capable. This upgrade to the Colorado is more of an upgrade to the LT and Z71 trim levels. You will be getting the lift, wheels and tires, along with some other exterior enhancements. Some of the main differences in the ZR2 Colorado and the Colorado Trailboss are that you will not be getting the DSSV shocks or the locking front differential that comes on the Colorado ZR2.

There will be some similarities in the two Colorados though. You will notice that the wheels from the Colorado ZR2 will be put on the Colorado Trailboss, but will be painted black. Some other features the Colorado Trailboss will have is a front and mid- mounted skid plate along with blacked out emblems around the outside of the truck. Pricing information on this vehicle has not been released yet, but when it does, we will be sure to pass it along.

The future of the Chevrolet Camaro is kind of up in the air at this point. There have been differing reports on what is going to happen to the Camaro. Some reports have shown that this 6th generation of the Camaro is going to be the last. But then you see some other articles that say the complete opposite. So we really do not know what the future will hold for the Chevrolet Camaro.

The latest report that has come out stated that Chevrolet may be planning to replace the Camaro with some sort of performance EV sedan. This sounds a lot like what Ford has done with the Mustang Mach- E. the only difference would be that one is an SUV and the other would be a sedan. If Chevrolet were to go with a sedan, it would be an interesting choice because there are not many sedan being produced any more. SUVs are what everyone seems to be wanting now so it would only make sense to make an electric SUV but Chevrolet must have other plans.

The current 6th gen Camaro, as of right now, is set to be phased out in 2024 but that could change. Chevrolet is also going to replacing a lot of their other vehicles around the same time. The rumor is that Chevrolet will be getting rid of the Spark, Trax, and the Malibu to make room for other electric vehicles to come. General Motors has committed a lot of money into the development of electric vehicles. They are supposed to be introducing 20 new electric vehicles by 2026. The drawbacks of most of the electric vehicles that are on the market is they are just not good looking. Tesla has done a very good job in regards to designing their vehicles. That probably has a lot to do why they sell so many vehicles. If other car manufactures would make the electric vehicles look a little bit better looking, they would sell much better. The Bolt and Bolt EUV look like every other electric car on the market apart from the Teslas. Teslas look like modern and futuristic. Hopefully the electric vehicles that are coming in the near future are much better looking than what is currently out now. We will keep you guys updated when we get more information.
